Thoughtful Reminders For Your Dog Training Sessions

1. Come to class as comfortably as you can. You will be moving forward and backward, standing up and kneeling down. Remember to wear shoes that cannot come off your feet (no flip-flops or clogs).
2. We are happy to work with the entire family.
3. The more time you spend practicing, the better your dog will be. Short 10 – 15 minute sessions, several times a day, will be most effective. Everyone in the family can take a turn. You can work together or separately. However, if you have a bad week, and don’t have practice time, please come to class anyway. We will help you catch up.
4. If you miss a class, please call. We will review the lesson with you and make sure that you understand the lesson plan.
5. Put some treats in your pocket in case we need some in class. We recommend a soft treat that your dog can swallow quickly.
6. It is best to wait to feed your dog his dinner after you get home from class.

9. 4-6 foot leather or nylon leash
10. 15-20 foot long line
11. Never hesitate to call for help. 
12. Have fun! It may take some time, but all of you can train this dog to be the pet and companion you dreamt of when you brought him into your home.
